For this brainstorming exercise, I treated every idea that crossed my mind as equal. I wanted to make sure I was using the stream of consciousness strategy to make the most out of any spark, even if it seemed unrealistic to me. Throughout brainstorming I noticed that there patterns in thinking of ideas. It began with smaller realistic goals like a to-do list, which trailed off into goals that I have set aside for a long time for one reason or another, to the less structured goals like learning how to be a source of comfort for people. Once I completed the list of 50, I realized there was a general theme to my list: motivation. I believe that I am subconsciously worried about staying motivated during this time. Reflecting on the brainstorming process more, the goals that I have highlighted as most important also relate to motivation. However, one goal that is particularly important to me right now is learning how to be a source of comfort for family, friends, and whoever needs it. I always want to be this person for everyone, but I often find it overwhelming. I want to learn how to be a source of comfort, but also not internalize other people’s emotions.
