Inspiration Practice February 25, 2020 by Emily Goldman Leave a Comment This week for my inspiration I decided to actually paint in makerspace on a large canvas. I normally choose smaller canvases due to price points, but I wanted to challenge myself to fill a larger space for this week. My inspiration for the duck came from seeing an animal account on instagram. The background was something I let my mind freely wander off and create. It was daunting for me at first to try to fill such a large space and I felt like I had to push myself to be more creative about the process. This process reminded me of the feeling I had using a larger mind map paper. Since filling the space around the duck was up to my discretion I was actually significantly more creative with the background than I would have been if the canvas was smaller. The result of this activity made me feel more confident in my creative abilities than before I started.
