When creating my concept board, I included both activities that I have already been doing while social distancing and habits or activities that I would like to incorporate into my daily routine.
In terms of positive activities that I have already been doing (and would like to continue doing), I included pictures that represent spending time with family, staying in touch with friends, staying on top of schoolwork, cooking, and relaxing. Although it is not easy completing the semester from home, I feel that I am doing a good job of staying up to date with assignments and I hope to continue this habit. Another difficult part of being at home is being away from my friends. I have stayed in contact with them by facetiming and texting them. I hope to continue this so I will maintain strong relationships after social distancing is over. My family usually does not spend a lot of time all together, however, since we have been social distancing/quarantining, we have been doing a lot more activities together. Also, ever since we have been social distancing, we have been cooking a lot more. I enjoy this because it can be fun and is making me eat healthier.
I have noticed that since I have been social distancing at home, I have not been taking very good care of my health. It is hard to motivate myself to workout since gyms are closed, and I have been eating a lot due to boredom. This has made me feel very unproductive and is taking a toll on my self esteem. I would like to start to use some of my free time to do physical activity and be aware of what I am consuming. Because of this, I included pictures that represent self care on my concept board; getting outside, exercising, and eating healthy meals. Also, another thing that I would like to do while at home is make art since I really enjoy doing it and rarely do it during the school year.
